Walli hasn't been doing to good. His mouth is acting up, likely the Stomatitis rearing it's ugly head again! We're off to see the oral specialist this afternoon to get this looked at. It's so heart wrenching to see the little guy sore and not eating :(

How can she be sleeping when the Tour de France is on!

I've been sick for the past 3 days and upon waking up from a nap on Saturday I found Walli all snuggled up next to me half under the covers. Too funny!!!

Walli had the remainder of his teeth removed yesterday to hopefully combat the severe Stomatitis he has. The poor guys face was the size of a grapefruit yesterday afternoon and his whole mid-section is bandaged to cover a pain medication patch that is adhered to his belly. Walli is so loopy because of the meds! Rolling, and flopping, and sprawling out. Hopefully our little guys will be on the mend!

Until we get Walli back to the oral specialist on Thursdays he's on liquid pain meds to keep him comfy. It's too funny, he gets so loopy and wild on the meds! It looks like he's rubbing his ear in this photo but he's actually flailing around with his paws in the air.

The kitties chipmunk buddy has been back and now he enjoys taunting them with his high pitched squeak. I swear one of the cats was going to bust through the screen this morning, they were going nuts!

Poor Walli's stomatitis infection has relapsed and his mouth is all red and sore again. Our little buddy has been awfully cuddly lately, I'm sure he's looking for comforting. T took Walli to the vet today and he is back on pain meds and antibiotics and back to a liquid diet of pureed wet cat food :(

There are a few chipmunks that love to run around outside beneath the bushes where our bird feeders hang and scrounge up fallen seed. This morning one little guy felt ambitious and he climbed all the way up near the top of the bush...until he noticed Sonja and i starting him down from behind the screen inside.Iit was a priceless moment! He was wide eyed and looked stunned, but in a way I swear he was intentionally taunting Sonja saying "Ha, ha...you can't get me!". Too funny!

I fell asleep on the couch yesterday afternoon and when I woke up Walli was sleeping on me. Too funny!

Spring is here and we've had the windows open on the 70+ degree days. Sonja loves her perch in the window!!!

So we're considering changing Walli's name to Tank. Not really, but he seriously is every bit of a tank now that he is feeling better. With a healed mouth and the antibiotics fighting off his feline bartonella he eats like a champ! Walli has put on almost 3 lbs in the 3 months we've had him. Sadly, it has come down to us having to hide Sonja's food up high where she can get it and he cannot. He's not the most agile cat and doesn't climb up to the top of the cat tower so her food is safe up there :)

So Sonja has really been affectionate lately. I don't know if she is just getting more comfortable with us and the house or what? I was laying on the couch the other day and she proceeded to curl up in a ball right next to me and sleep for a half an hour. Too cute!

Walli is off to the doc. tomorrow for his post-surgery check up. He's been eating well..until the past 2 days? I'm not sure if he's just getting back to normal and sick of us pureeing his food or his mouth is hurting. Hopefully the doc has good news for us and our little buddy!
