We had our first "incident" this weekend, Sonja decided out spider plant would be fun a fun toy to chew at and bat around. Ultimately it resulted in the clay potted plant upside down on our living room floor. Lovely!

So the cats have officially taken over our bed...which I'm not thrilled about. The past few days I've had a kitty wake up call. I thought T was rubbing my back the other morning, but it was Walli using me as a kneading post. Sonja thrives on sleeping on our fresh laundry when we put it on the bed as we're sorting, folding, and putting it away. These cats are too funny!

Sonja was a riot when we picked her up from the vet today...definitely feeling good on pain meds. She was so frisky and playful, which spooked us a little cause we didn't want her overdoing it and hurting her wound. She looks pretty funny with her shaved belly and patch shaved off on her arm where the IV went.

Sonja went in to be spayed today and Walli is lonely.

Both Sonja and Walli sleep in some pretty funny positions...

Sonja goes in for her spay Friday and she has to stay overnight. I'm curious to see how Walli will react being alone for over 24 hours. Hopefully all goes well for both of them.

I've been taking a lot of photos of the cats since we got them 3 weeks ago, and I think Sonja finally said enough is enough. Last night she decided to make my camera bag her new bed, so I had no access to my DSLR...little did she know I had my point-and-shoot camera stashed in my work bag :)

After a week of being in heat Sonja is back to her normal self again. Her spay appointment is next Friday...phew! The cats have been playing together a lot lately, which we're psyched about!

It's been 2 weeks already...wow! Time fly's when you're having fun!

We're fast approaching 2 weeks and the cats are doing awesome! We were a bit bummed yesterday when the vet told us Sonja can't be spayed until 4-6 weeks after she is done being in heat...so no spay till at least mid-February. Other that that, all is well!

Ugh, we have to wait till the 21st till Sonja gets spayed and she is in heat. She's howling and rubbing over EVERYTHING in the house. Not pscyhed...but we still love her tons!

The cats had their first vet appointment and checked out well. Sonja goes in to be spayed in a few weeks. Walli was so scared at the vet!

The kitties are off to the vet today for their physicals and to get Sonja an appointment to be spayed. Fingers crossed that our new kids are healthy!

So Sonja has become the queen of the cat tower while Walli prefers to hang out on somebody's lap. Too funny!
