Walli has been a trooper and he's healing up well from his teeth extractions, but sure enough we got hit with another blow. Walli has been diagnosed with Feline Bartonella which was likely a huge contributor to his stomatitis and teeth issues. We are over one hurdle and now another one has been thrown in front of us...

WOW! That's all I can say about Walli. That little guy is a trooper! He returned home Friday after his surgery with a mouth full of stitches all doped up on pain meds but still found the strength to come snuggle with us on the couch. We have to give him shots of pain medicine in his scruff twice daily. I'm not good with needles...thankfully T can stomach it and get our boy his meds. Extraction of 12 teeth is major surgery on a cat and Walli is taking it in stride!

Walli went in for his oral surgery today, we're nervous and he wasn't psyched to be in his crate! His Feline Stomatitis has gotten so severe he has a hard time eating and grooming himself. Sadly, the only alternative is to pull the teeth in the area of the gums where the gingivitis is the worst. We're hoping this helps Walli become pain free and lead a normal kitty life.

Sonja is up to no good again, this time making a meal out of the cord tips on our blinds. Lovely! Walli has been good, he gets a bit dopey after we give him his antibiotics and pain meds...then after a nap he perks up and gets playful. Tomorrow is his appointment with the vet. dentist to see exactly what needs to be done about his very severe stomitis. Ugh, I feel bad for my little buddy!

The kitties went to the vet today. Sonja got a her post-spay check-up and her 2nd round of shots and all is well. Walli also got his 2nd round of shots, but he also had to have some testing a blood work done. Walli's bad teeth have gotten progressively worse and we're now forced to see a veterinary dentist on Friday to determine what we can to do make Walli pain free...even if it means extracting teeth. Ugh, I feel bad for my little buddy :(
